Ministry of Health and Leprosy Association signed agreement to work together to make early detection of leprosy in the community.

The objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to strengthen cooperation between the parties in the health sector based on the benefits to the US

Define the role of the two parties involved in the National Leprosy Control Program (PNKL) and other Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD's) such as mass drug distribution (MDA) program, chemotherapy for leprosy patients and families in Lymphatic Filariasis especially Lymphatic Morbidity Management) STH, (Earthworm) and Franbozia under the NTD’s Unit.

"The important thing is to detect more new cases the better, and once detected, they must be treated until the mycobacterium leprae can disappear from their bodies, we hope that we must not leave our sick friends with difficulties," the Minister of Health said.
